All four fuels increased compared with September. Petrol rose by 59 to 60 fils per litre, and diesel rose by 50 fils. According to Khaleej Times, petrol is now above Dh4 per litre for the first time since 2022, after prices fell in July and then rose in August, September and October.

Diesel is now 52 fils per litre above Special 95 (AED 4.80 compared with AED 4.28). The rates apply at ADNOC, ENOC, EPPCO and other fuel retailers across the country.

Petrol grades have risen by roughly 29% to 31% since July, while diesel is up 33.3%. Most of the petrol increase came in October.

Which Drivers Notice It Most

Large SUV owners. A bigger tank means a bigger difference per fill, up to AED 59.00 on a 100-litre tank of Special 95.
Super 98 engines. Premium and performance models that require Super 98 now pay AED 4.40 per litre, the highest petrol price.
Diesel pickups and fleets. Diesel at AED 4.80 per litre matters most for pickups, vans and delivery fleets that cover high mileage.

Practical Ways to Use Less Fuel

Check tyre pressure. Under-inflated tyres increase fuel consumption. Check pressure monthly, when the tyres are cold.

Drive smoothly. Gentle acceleration and steady speeds on the highway use less fuel than rapid acceleration and heavy braking.
Use the right grade. Follow your owner's manual. If it specifies Special 95, Super 98 brings no benefit.
